Can I put metal, glass and plastic in one clear bag or do they need to be in a separate bag?

Really?? OOPS!! So someone sorts out the bottles, cans, etc. after they're collected?? I've never noticed anyone in my neighborhood separating any recycles.

I think it depends on the town. We mix plastic, glass and metal all togther in Oyster bay. But FH has seperate pails for everything in Freeport.

I went to the dept of sanitation site and it says to put plastic and small metal together. No glass recycling at all. Paper in a separate bag.
