Red Shoes!

Red Shoes!

-grins- Ok I know most people wear standard white or ivory heels and hoenstly I did purchase a pair of ivory shoes. HOWEVER they do not match. Its like there isn't one kind of ivory anymore. There are SHADES. So my dress is one shade and the shoes are another. But I figured no one will see my feet so who cares right?

Anyway I wa sout yesterday and lo and behold what did I see? But a KILLER pair of red satin sandals (with ankle straps which I need because I have super narrrow feet with tiny heels and no arches) with little bows on the toes and a touch of sheer lacy ruffle...SOOOO CUTE!

And the price? A whopping ...

Twenty bucks.

YEP you heard me.

They are so fierce. I know that red seems a little shocking but its my favorite color and our theme is actually red, hot pink and orange. I just think it will be a great shocker in photos.

I saw a photo once of a bride all decke dout, sitting on a chair. She had hiked her dress up to ehr knees and you could see that she was wearing white knee highs and white platform sneakers. I LOVED that photo so I figured we can do something similar with my bright red heels showing.

My mother will surely have a heart attack. -snickers- I'm 'Living in sin' with my FH, I am not gettign married through the church and now red shoes....

Hey I chose an ivory gown for her sake so i need my pop of color somewhere!

I dont see a prob with Red shoes, if its what makes you happy. I know a bride who wore an all white dress with brown red cowboy boots down the aisle, because that was her personality. If you love the shoes, Go for it

And by the way Leopard! Those are HOT! I love that picture of you, but I can't believe you laid down on the ground in your white wedding dress.

Go for it if you love them!

One piece of advice, though... make sure those shoes are comfy!

We had adorable pink shoes for my SIL's wedding that cost about $20 on sale. They were soooooooo uncomfortable.

Other than the comfy factor, get 'em if you love 'em. I love Kara's (kittythestray) shoes!

Forget about the dirt on my white dress - that stone was FREAKIN' COLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you can see my goosebumps in some of the pictures!

...and in case any of you are worried - my dress DID NOT get any dirt on it - even in all the pics of me rolling around in the grass & sitting on rocks & fence posts...

Ah yes, but would you have done that the day of?? So glad there was no damage to the dress!

ETA - This is why I think a day after shoot is such a good idea! You're way more relaxed!

Re: Red Shoes!

My bridesmaid-only having one whos doubling as MOH- is wearing red. I don't care what color shoes she wears honestly-not that anal.

As far as comfy, VERY FEW high heels are comfortable but these didn't feel too bad. I know myself-I will get tired and kick them off under the table and wear slippers. -chuckles- Im puerto rican-that and wearing spandex with blazers (thats our aunts and way out there cousins, folks) is what we do.

So they should be ok. Id rather pay no money for uncomfoy sheos than GOOD money and STILL get uncomfy shoes. Since I have flat, narrow feet, there really are no shoes that I find 100 percent comfy except NATURALIZER and they don't make bridal looking shoes.

There is a girl whose video was done by Bliss and is on their website - she wore really pretty light blue shoes...her 'something blue' I guess...I like that idea a whole lot
