I am trying to look up the etiquette for addressing invitations: A lot of the websites are showing me info with outside and inside envelopes.....what do you do if there is no inside envelope?

I didn't use inside envelopes, so the addressing on the outside envelope indicated who was invited.

My invitation vendor said that two envelopes is really uncommon now and most people use just one.
