I can't understand why on earth someone would want to be president. Especially when a newly elected would be coming into office at a very, very bad time.

I always wonder about it myself. Why would anyone volunteer for such an enormous pressure...
Granted, all the candidates are already in a position of power and living a VERY comfortable life… Just enjoy it and don’t create problems for yourself and your family. I guess the all want to go down in history…

There are people who wonder why anyone would want to be a janitor...people are cut out for different things. Some people enjoy politics, enjoy the idea of making a change, think they can do a better job then the current administration, etc...
and then there are some who are egomaniacs and do it all for the glory and fame. Same reason people become actors and actresses...they want to be recognized and idolized.

Kelly, I've been saying the same thing since Clinton was impeached. Why anyone would want to run for the office after that whole fiasco is beyond me.

I don't want to be president!! No way.. too much BS media lying and never ending explaining of yourself.
I guess someone starts off wanting to change things for the better. If no one else will take charge *I* will, then that moves to higher and higher levels.
I am an elected officer for a few small associations even though Im one of the youngest members. Basically because I felt the need to end stupidity amoung the higher ranks. Although I admit I stepped aside when I was asked to run for President. Just didnt feel I could focus that much on one thing!!!
I think they all mean well in the end really. heh but I wouldn't trade spaces with ANY of them for all the money in the world.

i agree but sometimes someone has the best of intentions to just change the world for the better and sadly the politics come into play...makes me realize that the little average people, like us, really have the power but don't know how to use it!
