Did any of you register for your eparty? If so, what did you put on the registry??
I have heard so many mixed things and now I am confused!!!

Re: Register for Engagement Party?
I registered but that's because my family is more about giving gifts than money. We received lots of registry stuff from my family but only money from FH's family so I guess it depends on your crowd.
I also only registered for china, crystal and formal flatware b/c my engagement party was a year and a half before my wedding and sometimes items get discontinued or are no longer carried by the store. I didn't want to have to go back and re-register for towels, bedding, etc. So I'm not registering for all of that stuff until about 8 months before my wedding.

You don't have to do a separate registry for your eparty. Just let guests know where you are registered at (BB&B, Macy's, Pottery Barn etc...) Maybe make a website and post the info on there.

Re: Register for Engagement Party?
I didn't register because since our wedding was 2 and a half years away, I didn't think we were gonna get any presents. We did get some cute things, but we mostly got money which was a huge help. It all depends on your situation. If you and FH already live together and don't really need anything, then leave registering for the bridal shower. Even those who don't give you money probably won't start giving you appliances yet. It was mostly decorative stuff like vases and picture frames that were given. If you guys don't live together yet, then register so that if someone does want to buy you a gift, you can start getting items that you really need.

Re: Register for Engagement Party?
By the time the engagement party comes the wedding will be a little over a year and half away. We dont live together, so we have nothing! I was thinking of just registering for all that decorative stuff, nothing like towels or anything.
I just want an option for those who want to give a gift and I dont know if thats tacky to have a registry for an eparty. I figured this way I would have a little one and our families could tell anyone who asks.

Re: Register for Engagement Party?
I didn't do a seperate registry for my Engagement Party. The same registry I had for my eparty I will have for my wedding as well. I just went back after my eparty was over and updated my lists a little.

Re: Register for Engagement Party?
we got engaged last december and had our engagment party last september. I started my registry one month after we got engaged. Almost everybody brought a registry gift to the party. The only thing I def wouldnt regeister for yet is bedding b/c it can become discontinued. Do that a few months before the wedding.

Re: Register for Engagement Party?
We registered before our e-party last January. I have a lot of great aunts who wanted to buy us something and not give $$ and I wanted to make sure it was something we wanted. So we registered for our china pattern, every day dishes, appliances and some other small things. We got a ton of our registry stuff and a ton of money as well. I think it's a good idea just to put out there in case your guests don't want to give you money.

Re: Register for Engagement Party?
We registered for the e-party. I thought it was premature but everyone kept asking where we were registered.
We will only have one registry. I am really happy we registered because we rec'd alot of gifts off of it.
I tried to add more stuff that was inexpensive (picture frames, etc.) since I knew for the e-party people wouldn't want to spend alot of $$.
