Registered last night...

Original post by divabride

and I can honestly say I didnt have a good time. FI was bored and no help to me. But the plates I fell in love with are described as fine/casual china.
Now, I really dont know if I should get them. They were on sale for really good prices, but what happens 4 months from now when they arent on sale. Arrrrgh! Plus, stupid me took the easy way out and registered with the 'fast register feature' and now I have 12 plates of everything!!! Now I have to go back and determine what I want and dont want. I thought this was supposed to be fun!

STP - Sorry for the vent, Im just really upset!

I really like your china. Yes I heard from past brides how stressful registering can be. I am going to register very soon with my MOH. FH I know would be no help, he will want to get out of there in 20 mins. I rather do it with my MOH anyway no rush means no mistakes (hopefully).

I thought registering was fustrating. how am I suppose to pick out colors and stuff when I don't know what colors I am eventually going to do?????

Here is a suggestion. Choose a neutral color (grey or beige) for your towels and bedding and simply ACCENT with colors in the form of hand towels/washclothes and throw pillows for the bedroom. Or register for two sets of things. Whats the worst that could happen? You only get one set.

Have fun

Jen!!!! I feel your painnnnnnnnnnnnnn!!!!

i don't understand how people love to register, me and fh couldn't wait till it was over. we're too indecisive and it just took days and days and days....

fear not though! once it's over it's over! i'm never looking at that registry again!

Ohh Jen.. Did you give chris the scanner gun to hold? That made stephen happy.. Of course he kept scanning my butt and saying he was registering for a piece of as*!!

As for the china. I was told that we should look at the regular price..not the sale price..for the exact reason you mentioned.

The first time we went we were overwhelmed and it wasn't much fun. So then we went agian with my MOH (lisa) and she kind of helped organize us.. Then it was fun!
