and I can honestly say I didnt have a good time. FI was bored and no help to me. But the plates I fell in love with are described as fine/casual china. Now, I really dont know if I should get them. They were on sale for really good prices, but what happens 4 months from now when they arent on sale. Arrrrgh! Plus, stupid me took the easy way out and registered with the 'fast register feature' and now I have 12 plates of everything!!! Now I have to go back and determine what I want and dont want. I thought this was supposed to be fun!
STP - Sorry for the vent, Im just really upset!

Sorry you had such a bad experience!!! FH wasn't much help when we registered either....the scanning gun made him feel important for a little while...but he was bored too and let me know it every chance he got!!!! I am sure it will all work out in the end....we are actually going to finish registering this weekend...we only half registered before our e-party, and now we are going to finish it off! I am excited because i did have fun....but FH is dreading it!!!

I had an awesome time registering... and I think FH loved it even more than I did. I've never seen a guy so excited about pots & pans.

Re: Registered last night...
I registered at macys. I went so far as to visit the manufacturer's website thinking that might clear things up for me. NOPE, just made it more frustrating!!!

Re: Registered last night...
My FH hates coming with me to update our registries as well! He keeps telling me that everything I put on it is too expensive... I'm like 'So what!?! Put it on and if we get it, we get it... if we don't then at least we get a discount after we are married if we still want to purchase it!!' uughhh... I had gone with my parents the last couple of times. My FH is going to try again and come with me on Friday. Hopefully we don't leave the store fighting...again!

I didn't enjoy it one bit, and neither did FH. It was overwhelming, stressful, and frustrating. But at least its done!

I was so stressed as well, and I thought it was going to be so much fun! I don't know where we're going to live, let alone what colors anything is going to be!
I'm sorry you didnt have a good time! Dont worry about the technical name of the china, if you two like them then thats what counts, right?

Re: Registered last night...
I didn't even bother taking my FH with me to register. I asked him before I went if he wanted to go and if he had any preferences, he said no. So I took my mother and she was very helpful. It did take a long time to pick out dishes and flatwear, I was exhausted, but I was glad my mother was there. I registered at Fortunoffs in Carle Place and they really were helpful. And I just got a discount at the Wingate Inn for being a Fortunoffs bride, so it has some advantages. Now I've just been adding items on line. Good luck!!:

Sorry it was so bad for you!!!! We didnt have that much fun either - we were in there forever and still didnt choose everything on our list!
Cant you just sit down in front of your computer when you have some time and change everything that you need to change online?
I also wouldnt worry about the description of your china!

Re: Registered last night...
I figured I could go online today and fix everything, but I just made it worse. They are non descript and there are no available pics. Seriously what's the difference between a bowl and soup bowl?

I did the EXACT same thing - didn't bring FH, registered at the same places have been editing it online and I'm using the Wingate!
