Re: registering

some people (maybe not from around here) feel more comfortable giving a gift rather than money. maybe you could register for a handful of things that you could use /want just for them. its up to you. the people that want to get a gift will get you one anyway, and then youll end up with something that is their taste!

Re: registering

You can never have enough Sheets or towels. Maybe you can register for some china. I'm sure you can think of some things that you and your FH didn't buy yourselves.

Re: registering

I would still register for some stuff. Register for stuff that you WANT rather than NEED! That could be fun

Re: registering

We won't have room for too much stuff, so we are registering for things we want. Here is my list (so far):

Fine china
crystal
comforters (I hate the ones FH has)
Towels

Now here's the cool stuff:
flat panel TV for Bedroom
flat panel computer monitor (his monitor is way too big)
digital camera
Luggage
Desk (again, way too big)
Queen size bed

You should think about things you need to replace, or use in the future.

Re: registering

I think you should register, especially for your shower. A lot of people like some sort of guidance or gift suggestions. By registering you make it easier for them and it will hopefully eliminate getting things you really don't need.

Towels & Sheets will never go to waste.

Updated pot & pan set, or specialty piece you never got?

Decorative items for your home?

Appliances that could use an upgrade?

Luggage?

Re: registering

Definitely register. Guests will want to give you gifts, and they'll appreciate knowing what you want/need. Look at it this way: registering just makes things easier for the folks you love!
