Registering

How long should we allow our selves?
Would you suggest a weeknight? SaturDAY? Saturday-Eve?
We'll probably head to Macy's.

Re: Registering

I think you should do as much as you can when you go, and don't put a time limit on it. It took us a few trips, and then I tweaked the registry online. It can be really exhausting. Weeknights are definitely the best time to go.

Have fun!

Weeknights are better, but we went on a saturday right when the store opened and that was good too... Have you considered Fortunoff's instead? There is a recent thread on here for brides deciding btwn macy's and fortunoff...

Re: Registering

Definitely donlt go on a Saturday afternoon!!!!!

It was mobbed (fortunoff) and it was ahrd ot get help.

Also, do NOT try to to do it all in one day. Inevitably you'll get tired and impatient and you may just pick stuff to pick stuff. We went for China, Crystal and Silver..and I already knew what I wanted for bth sets of China and just only doing that I got tired and impatient and couldn't decide on crystal. So you'll have to make a few trips. And you can work on it online, but not everything in the store is online!

i think it's better not to try to do it all in one day otherwise you end up getting tired and annoyed. Also, Everywhere we registered I always felt hot- dress in layers or a tshirt- JMO.

Also,

The people at Macy's told me not to register for linens and such too early, as those things are seasonal and colors can change, items are more often rotated out of stock, that sort of thing. I just registered for mine and I'm at 6 months or so.

BTW, I LOVE my quilt. I'm at Macy's too, and I'm not having any problems with them.
