Registering

Did you register? My mom is totally against this - not sure why. I'm not sure if we will or not - just curious what others did and when one does if so.

I am going to register....I think its good because you can pick out stuff that you like. Saves tha hassle of having to bring things back that you didn't like

I am def registering because that way I can pick out things I really want to get and probably wouldn't pick out myself. Usually the registry is used for the bridal shower mainly. So anytime before then would probably be good.

Most definately. I was against it too at first - thought it was kinda rude, but then I started registering and found things I want and need. I figure if I didnt register I wouldnt get the things we liked. Example: My work had a bridal shower for me and did not use my registry and got me a rick cooker. I use the micro so now I have to exchange. My FMIL and MIL begged me to register.
I really recommend it.

I think registering's a great idea. It makes it easier on your guests, and you get what you want too!

Re: Registering

My mom was the opposite, she was pressuring me to register (I wasn't all that interested in it).

Re: Registering

I think it depends if you need any stuff

FH and I already lived together so we originally said no
but after reconsidering, we saw that we could upgrade some of our appliances and bedding so we didnt have to use gift money to do that

i dont think you HAVE to, but its a great backup to just get out of the way
