Registering?

Registering?

I am having a hard time getting my fiance to register. Did anyone else have this problem? I don't know how to get him to register with me? Any suggestions? We have lived together for a long time so he says 'We have everything why do we need to register?'

I registered with FSIL since I know that FH does not care about that kind of stuff and hates to shop.

If he doesn't want to then I think you should quite literally take the gun in your own hand, aka, register yourself. Why not! Probably better that way anyhow, you can register for everything you like

or do it online. Maybe he will be more inclined to look at stuff online then go walking around the store?

And tell him that even though you have everything you need you can get new stuff... stuff you want!!

Honestly, registering is the only thing FH actually was willing to do, and would ask ME if I 'want to go scan shiz?' as he would put it. LOL. I didn't have this problem at all.

mine likes to cook so the kitchen section kept him occupied... he also stole the gun from me... he just liked scanning everything so that too helped... lol ... but to be honest, most of the stuff, i just added online

Mine wouldnt come with me. I brought my friend. I preferred it that way because he has like zero patience for shopping. Hes the kind of guy who only goes shopping when he absolutely has to because he needs something goes into 1 store finds it and is ready to leave! LOL

I had a GREAT time and we made a day of it. Went for lunch and went to register. She was thrilled cause she got to use the gun thingy in the store! LOL

Re: Registering?

I asked FH if he wanted to come with me and he said 'no, you always pick nice things' and left it at that. I went by myself (actually my dad came to BB&B with me but didn't come around with me while I was registering) and it was fun. Like shopping without buying things!

When i came home, I showed FH a few things from the online registry and he made me change the front door mat. He didn't like the one I originally picked out. lol

But that's it. I wouldn't get too up in arms about him not coming with you. Does he usually come shopping with you?

Just have fun with it and it'll be fine.

Mine said the same thing to me! So I just registered with my sister. We registered for china, new pots, new vacuum and little gadgets that you forget that you need in the kitchen. I also registered for a new comforter set and towels to go along with the stuff I already have in my bathroom.

Don't force him to go because he will be miserable and will make you miserable.

My FH is OBSESSED with the Stop & Shop scanners!

Drag him with you. Once you give him the scanner and let him go by the gadgets, I'm sure his attitude will change Mine was miserable in Fortunoff (r.i.p. - wanted to kill me when I had to change it) but had a ball in BBB. We also have one on Amazon which he put together almost completely by himself.

I will ask him again. Yeah I agree with the above posts I don't want to force him. If not then I will go by myself or my sister.

Thanks again :)

Re: Registering?

i begged FH to come with me ... after one hour in bed bath and beyond i was begging him to leave me haha ... soooo bascially i did the rest on my own with friends and family members and most online haha it was better that way. one taste of registering with FH was more than enough for me!

FH was the same way, but once I showed him some of the things I put up he started getting excited.

My FH said registering was 'torture'. The only thing he cared about was the knife block. I suggest going with a female friend.
