Registering

have anyone else found this to be extremely stressful and boring? I love shopping but this isn't fun at all

Um yeah... I totally agree.

Let's add in that the lady from BB&B calls to let you know that you should ask for better stuff, since your not the one spending the money, and no one is going to want to spend $10 on your glass pitcher.

and

The scanner at Bloomingdales doesn't work so you have to manually write dowen each sku #.

Registering was not as much fun as I had thought it would be...

UMM I cried after the first time we went - the guy that helped us made the experience horrible for me.

Literally - I had a break down over a SUGAR BOWL!!!!!!!! not cool - so i get it, i really do!!!!

i thought it was fun at first, but after 4 hours, it became overwhelming and tiring.

i still need to register at macys

i did mostly everything online and i took breaks. I cant imagine having to walk through a store for all this stuff. I told FH I started and he was so grateful - which surprised me I thought he was gonna get mad. We're going to BBB just to look for luggage and towels in person.

LOL, meeee!

I didn't think it was fun. It really made my head hurt because I was trying to compare prices and etc to make the best choices for our guests.

I am really excited about a few things though

ETA: fh and I actually left crate and barrel after putting a couple of things on and said we'd finish online and we haven't touched it

I'm not enjoying it either. Stressful, long process!
We also have so many things between the two of us, I'm not even sure what to select. FH says we don't need to replace items we have that are perfectly good.

I like it for some things, but find other things like vacuums, cutting boards, knives, pots/pans completely boring.

I knew I couldn't be bothered at the actual stores so I did everything online minus china, crystal stemware, flatware, everyday dishes, and luggage.
Then FH and I went to the stores and were in and out in under an hour.
I wasn't excited over the registry until about now b/c it's done LOL and I know my shower is coming so I'm stalking to see when things start getting purchased

We went to the 34th Street Macy's and it was really crazy so we only did a little. Then we went and spent the afternoon at the Macy's in Roosevelt Field and it was a lot better!!! FH loved doing it and he did more of the adding...

So boring. I hate when the walk you around the ENTIRE store before you can scan.

I was not excited by anything I scanned lol.

We went to a registering party at Crate and Barrel.They had a lot of food and drinks. We also got cute champagne glasses.

I still haven't registered. FH and I furnished a house a year ago so we basically have everything we need/want. I look at most of the items they say you should register for and just don't care for anything. We've been pushing this off every weekend.

FH and I made a list of things we needed, and then I did some sniffling as well...I did it all online since we live far apart! I added a few things when I was in Macy's once, but that was it.

Online was way less stressful!
