if you wanna drive, maybe try the one at miracle mile, theres parking right in front and although by the other shops parking is harder, in front of crate and barrel there is ALWAYS parking spots. Plus miracle mile has great stores...You should check out the new store LuLu couture, they have such great things
What's Miracle Mile? Is it a mall?
yeah but its not one of those malls where its all in one building...theres stores one next to another but it is a bit more i guess upscale or high end you can say bc they have all the stores like Gucci, prada, bottega vanetta and all those designers. They do have other stores too, fh and i go alot there for this sneaker store called exit 36 bc they get alot of the sneakers that are limited type stuff or a bit different.
Its kind of like short hills if you ever heard of that one, with those type of stores
Gotcha. Yeah, Short Hills I know...i'm just LI clueless.

yeah and for me it helps ALOT, when i go to malls and stuck in there for too long is when i get light headed so i like going out for fresh air every few mins lol. I LOOOOVE the lulu couture store, they have such amazing things but some of the things are so expensive, some are ok though. Plus like i said above im a fan of the store exit 36 and fh likes to also go to lacoste there

great items, pretty good prices, fast shipping, great packaging.
only downside is things get discontinued ALL THE TIME and they are out of stock A LOT. We ended up buying some of the things we registered for because they were a set and were being discontinued. Other than that, C&B is great.

honestly that'll happen at alot of places...i get letters ALL the time from BB&B, well if its not discontinued then its not available online anymore just at the store or vice versa.

It may be the nature of what we registered for (glassware, table setting stuff, etc from C&B and more appliances and less seasonal products from BBB) but so far nothing on our registry has been discontinued (that we know of) from anywhere other than C&B. We also might have registered at a bad time, but if you scroll through our C&B registry almost half of it is discontinued or no longer available.
Our placemats/napkins, a martini and wine glass set, a dessert plate set, our nice wine glasses (for red and white wine) and some kitchen accessories are all discontinued. I think they change stock every season, because similar items are out now but are slightly different. We bought some of it ourself when we found out, got others as e-party gifts but still there were pieces that are gone before someone could buy them.
Definitely something to look out for -- they do let you know in advance if something is on it's way out which is nice, but their stock changes OFTEN.
just something to keep in mind. it's probably best to register here really late, so you dont leave a lot of time for their stock to change. we registered for our e-party and got a lot of stuff, but anything we didn't get is slowly on its way out. this is probably true for any similar store that changes stock seasonally.

we registered there, but did it online. I love white plates, simple bar glassware and wooden serving dishes, they have a good variety of those

Just to be clear, by 'seasonal' I dont mean holiday-themed, etc. I just mean items they put out when they introduce new stock (certain long stemmed wine glasses, dipping bowls, dessert plates etc) that they tweak slightly in shape or color and then re-introduce a few weeks later
I dont mean to bash C&B, I love that store. It's just frustrating to keep buying things off your own registry to make sure you can get the complete set before it disappears forever. (We also bought a few extras of our wine glasses in case we ever break some since they are already discontinued)

oh lol yeah true i do remember seeing alot of signs on some items that do say limited time only so we stayed away from those things for that reason, so its good that they have signs to let you know if it might not be around soon. Well i hope that since from the time i registered until the time ppl get shower invites isn't a long time that it wont be too bad lol

I did. I used to work part time there also as a second job. I love it and they do a great job with registry returns and exchanges.
I was thinking about it, and one of my great friends said its a great place to register

Well this can happen at any store you register at, there's no way to avoid it, so you can't get pissed. But yes, with C&B you're best not to register there too early, they turnover most of their products seasonally. Just do what I do and keep checking your registry. I've had mine set up their for a few months now and I just keep checking it and so far I've been lucky in that nothings been discontinued. Then again, I know what to pick since I worked there. But Bluegreen, with your wedding not until August I would definitely do a thorough once over again, ESPECIALLY, after the holidays. Remember alot of things will go out of stock now because of all the shopping people do in general for xmas. Also, there might be new stuff you like that they introduce in the spring. Good Luck!

We were pissed too - we registered and everything was fine, and a week later we logged onto our registry to change quantities of things and half of it was marked 'limited quantity.' we really liked the wine glasses we picked (it took us like 20 min to even decide on wine glasses) so we went back to the store and bought the whole set. they were 50% off because they were being discontinued, so we ended up getting the last 15. (set of 12 + 3 spares since we'd never be able to replace them down the road if they broke).we also bought our placemats and napkins, but had to get a set of 6 of one since they were already out of stock. It was funny though bc my mom commented that things were coming off out registry and I had to tell her it was us... buying off our own registry ahah. Worked out well because we got the pieces we wanted.
if you keep tabs on your registry it will say online if there's limited quantity left, and then you can either buy the rest yourself or change it to a newer similar piece if nobody has bought any of it yet.
our e-party was one year before the wedding, so i'm sure everything we have left on it now will be gone by the time the wedding (or my shower) rolls around, but at least i'm prepared for that to happen. We may go 'reregister' in the spring and get rid of all of the discontinued stuff and pick out new items that should still be around for the wedding.

did it say next to the item when you registered whether or not there was a limited quality, like i said before the one i went to had signs next to the items and said 'will only be available for a limited time'
But yeah if they change every season and you have it for a year then s*cks youll have to deal with this...i registered the same season shower invites will be going out

No, it didnt when we registered or we wouldn't have picked it. We must have registered a few days before they put up the signs. It also didnt say 'limited quantity' or 'available for a limited time' when we first registered, but it came up a week later. We could have changed all of the stuff on our registry but we didn't know for sure when their new stock would be coming in, and we spent so long registering and liked what we picked!
anything that became 'limited' that we were attached to we bought ourselves. we'll just replace the stuff we dont care as much about (a cheese knife is a cheese knife, the new version in the spring will be fine) in 6 months or so.

I agree with all of this!
Their completer program (after you are married to to finish your registry) stinks too - 10% off anything one time only. The other places we registered (BBB & Macys) had better offers. Also, for those who don't have a lot of computer savvy guests and order things online, there are a limited number of stores (my friend was recently registered there and got very little off her registry for this reason)

OH NO now im gonna have to constantly check my registry, i don't want to know when my shower comes up though so this will be tricky lol...i might put FH in charge of it in a few weeks so i dont notice when things start coming off lol
