registering, but not having a shower???

ok, so this is my second marriage, but first real wedding....i'm probably not having a bridal shower, b/c my parents really don't have the money, plus, they paid a lot of money for my retainer for my divorce and many other things they have done over the last few years for me!! i think i might still register b/c what if people want to get us somehting, we really don't need much, b/c we already have a house and everything we need, but could always use new stuff!! is that bad of me to expect some people to get us stuff???? some of my friends are hinting to me to register......so what do all you ladies think????

i want to register really bad!!!

If your friends are hinting for your to register and you really want to than do it. You never had a shower before?? Also, what about your bridal party...maybe they are throwing you one???

I say register and let it spread by word of mouth since you're not having a shower. If people ask if you're registered, you have an answer for them!

sounds like your bp wants to do something, hey if they are asking you to register and you want to register the answer is easy...& you have nothing to lose...

I say register. Maybe your BP are planning something for you. Plus sometimes when people may prefer to give you a gift at the wedding.

What is the worst nothing comes off of it? Then you can use their discount program (if they have one) after thewedding to get some new things.

Register!! Even if you don't have a shower, at least those who want to get you gifts will be able to purchase off your registry. Plus, I think most stores give you a discount on anything that wasn't purchased on your registry.

DEFINITELY REGISTER!

They may want to get you some stuff or maybe there is something in the works! Hehe!

Also some OOT guests may ask where you are registered!

I think you should register. You never had a bridal shower and you should at least register.

One suggestion is maybe have an informal bridal shower Labor day weekend with family and close friends. Most people BBQ that last weekend and it would be a great time to do it.

I say register. If people don't want to get you a gift then they wont. This way the people who want to get you something don't have to stress over it, they can just go pic something up.
Besides if your BP is hinting then maybe they are doing something for you.

I say register, if your friends are hinting I am sure it means they would like to give you a gift. I say go for it, it should be fun!

Register! Like it or not, some people are going to want to get you gifts they can wrap instead of cash, and if you register they'll know what you want. Also, you never know if people from work will want to make you a little shower, or if a favorite aunt or someone might want to buy you a toaster as an engagement present. Go for it!
