registering for a honeymoon?

i just got my information in the mail from sandals st. lucia and all three places there look so beautiful. with the package came the information about registering for your honeymoon on weddingchannel.com. You register for where you want to go and ask for monetary amount gift certificates' towards your honeymoon.

since, we already have a ton of apartment stuff, it sounds like a good idea - but have never heard about it before?

has anyone else? or is doing it?

or opinions on it?
