As far as quality is concerned what do you think is better besides the hard case type of luggage? I prefer these, but they are heavier and more $$.

Re: Registering for Luggage
I did but I don't remember what brand. It wasn't the hard material though.
I hope someone gets them for the shower b/c I want to use them for the honeymoon!

Re: Registering for Luggage
I registered for the Samsonite 3000 (I think it's a total of 6 pieces for my shower). I already know that my bridal party got it for me.
Samsonite has been around for years so I trust that the luggage will last a long time.

Re: Registering for Luggage
This is the description of what I registered for...the brand was Hercules, but somehow, we wound up getting Pierre Cardin instead (not that I'm complaining) even though it was purchased off our registry. From what I've been told, this is considered good luggage, although I have no personal knowledge on what makes it 'good.'
'Everything you need is included in this set of four expandable uprights—a 28-inch, a 25-inch, a 22-inch, and a 19-inch. All are made of durable 600-denier polyester. Features include internal trolley system, in-line skate double wheels, two large front zipper pockets, expandable zip-front panel for extra packing space, comfortable grip handles on top and side, and industrial-strength nylon zippers. With water-resistant backing. Two-year limited warranty.'

All uprights feature the innovative Flat Packing design system. No interior tubing to pack around provides a smoother interior to minimize wrinkling. Uprights also feature the patented Laundry Locker to separate damp or soiled garments. Retractable locking upright handle and smooth rolling in-line skate wheels for easier mobility. Limited lifetime warranty. Available in ice blue and black. dept/pattern (030260)

Re: Registering for Luggage
I did not register for the hard case type luggage...sorry. Come to think of it, I wasn't considering quality when I registered for it...I just picked out what I liked when I was in the store.

Re: Registering for Luggage
franksbride, the salesgirl told us that if we are not heavy travels and if we were going to travel mostly by car then the Infinity luggage (which that is) is the best.

Re: Registering for Luggage
No. We are using it for our honeymoon too but she said that if you travel via plane more than about 6 times a year than you should get a better one.

Re: Registering for Luggage
I would like to stick to Samsonite since its really reliable. I have one piece that I have had for years. There are just so many sets to choose from.
