Registering for SILVERWARE

when you register for utensils, knives and forks and spoons... how do they come??

Does it come bare or like a box to store it in?

Usually the utensils come in cardboard boxes or something similar and then you can purchase a nice box to store them in (wooden, with spaces to hold the utensils and drawers to put serving pieces).
