Hey everyone so I want to try and register in about 2 weeks. My fiancé will be on vacations so I wanna do our cake tasting in the morning then head to bed bath and beyond. So here is my question......do I need to make an appointment or do we just show up??

Registering question?? - Long Island Weddings
You can do both. If you make an appointment someone will help you, if you don't want someone following you around you can do it yourself and just walk in. Also, you can add/delete things online too.

if its on the weekend it may help to have an appointment. I went on a Saturday and I had to wait for a scanner for like 30 minutes

I just showed up. The only problem was the lady at the store wouldn't leave us alone the entire time! She followed is around and forced me into registering for things I didn't need. When I got home, I pretty much redid our registry!

We went on Saturday to Macys in Roosevelt Field without an appointment and had no issues. Did the same for BB&B. I found going there with a scanner really overwhelming- and ended up doing most of what I've done so far online.

I didn't want an annoying a$$ person following me around all day so i just went asked for a gun & did it with FH then another time with my mom & aunt.

Think I'm just going to go without an appointment I agree I don't know if I want someone following us around the whole time that sounds really annoying. And after I can change things up online if I need to!

You don't have to make an appointment, but keep in mind that if you do it on a weekend afternoon in BBB it's going to be HELL. That store is insane!
We registered out in St. James but we went to the one in Westbury and one of the guys told us that if you call, they'll let you in after they close and let you register when no one is there. That sounded awesome, we just didn't have a need for it because we went during the week.

haha that happened to me too. I hate when they follow you. They always push the fine china. My FH and I are too casual for that stuff

We just showed up to BB&B on a weekend. Weren't even going there to register, just needed to borrow a tape measure for a toaster oven, ended up doing most of the registry, just worked out. Did the other one Amazon.
Good Luck

If you go in expect to be in BB&B for a couple to a few hours if you have the sales person with you. My FW was sooo fed up with the lady. We were there for over 2 hours and even when we were like, 'Okay, we have other things to do today' she still stuck around and was showing us more things. I preferred doing it online. But we did not have an appointment - it was on a Thursday night.
