I feel like this may be dumb to ask but do you need to make an appointment to register?
I'd love to go to BB&B and I just want to make sure I don't go with 5 other brides. LOL
Thanks in advance.

We went on a Saturday evening and didn't make an appointment. There was no one else there registering.

We didn't make an appointment but we went early on a Sunday morning. Honestly, it might be better if there are a few brides registering at the same time that way the BB&B representative won't walk around with you and be up your butt. Ours was and I had to tell her that we were looking forward to doing this ourselves and we would like to be able to do so. She was so annoying!

So you girls think that we should start registering now? I wanted to start a Macy's registry online the other night and my FH wouldn't let me, he said it was too early! Are there advantages of registering in store? I always hate when I look at registries and certain items aren't available for purchase online.

Awesome.
Thanks, ladies!!!
We're doing it now because my mom keeps getting asked when we're registering so people can get us an engagement gift.
We'll go easy on the pots & pans type stuff because I'm sure new stuff will come out...

I registered at bed bath and beyond and target and didn't make an appointment at either. I also didn't register until a few months ago.

You do NOT need an appointment. You just go to the Bridal Registry section of the store and if you don't want anyone following you around just ask how to use the gun and how to troubleshoot. One bit of advice...leave plenty of time to register because my husband and I had to make two trips because we only left like 2 hours to browse the store... Was definitely one of the FUN things of wedding planning.

P.S. also consider Macy's or Bloomingdales for higher end items...and Target has a lot of cute affordable items

You don't need an appointment, just know that at BB&B they have a consultant follow you around. Before I knew it, the lady convinced me that I needed items that I will never use. I had to come home and redo majority of my registry online. In a way it's nice though because there are more products available online. And BB&B has an awesome return policy.

Same here, although for Macy's I attended their Sip & Scan event, which we did sign up for, but that's different of course.

We just finished with our registry at BBB this Saturday. No appointment was needed and we had so much fun. I would say this was one of the FUN things of wedding planning. My FH is really hoping we get the waffle maker and margarita maker. Lol And that is why I love him!!!

This!!! She wanted to walk us around and tell us everything we 'needed' to register for. At Macy's after she gave us the gun and showed us to use it, we didn't see her again until we were done.

You don't need one but if you want someone to help you there you should to make sure someone is available.

I am currently out of state and was wondering if anyone knew if it was possible to register at a location out of state? I'm assuming it's fine since BB&B is nationwide lol
