Registering, spin off to QOTD

Original post by MLAngelo

FH insisted on registering for a panini maker and an icecream maker? He made me nuts at BBB because I really don't think he will use either. My best friend from college did the same to his then fiance when he insisted on registering for a juicer that he has since used once.

Did any of your fh's insist on registering for something you know he won't use?

FH scanned all the silicone animal potholders and an entire monkey bathroom set.

I saw it all the following day

Oh no, he noticed you took it off? Are you planning on doing his laundry, if you are tell him he can have 3 hampers and do his own laundry or 1 hamper and you will do it for him.

FH registered for a chocolate fountain....He is obsessed with it. I think he will use it once and then collect dust.

The thing is I think we will get that and I won't get the wine frig. or the Dyson i want so bad.....and Ill be stuck with a dusty chocolate fountain

seriously - well maybe you can use it at parties - though my SIL has one and it barely works! gets all clumpy

Can you just take it off the registry? Pretend someone bought it and then act surprised that it didn't show up

FH had no say in what we registered for lol. But what I can say about the panini maker...if you have leftovers and there isn't a lot left...it can make something out of nothing

yes thats so true!!!!!!!

2010 bride here:

about a year ago i started whining about wanting wicker hamper baskets. the good ones are very expensive. however FMIL had 3 of them so she gave them to me. at first i thought i would never use 3 but we actually use 4 hampers. i do laundry every saturday. each hamper is for something different (1 for black, 1 for whites, 1 for pajamas & 1 for everything else). no sorting necessary.

Acutally, FH was pretty good... he only wanted things that we will actually need... I guess I lucked out LOL
