FH and I are going to register today - we are def doing BBB and I am torn between Fortunoff's and Macy's. I know quite a few ppl have had not such great experiences with Macy's customer service, but my concern is that most of our guests are out of town and wont actually be going to Fortunoff's should we register there, and i dont know how many of them prefer to just go to a store as opposed to online. i dont want to limit ourselves by choosing the wrong place. so first question - macy's or fortunoff's?
second question - FH will only go with me to one place (how he doesnt see the fun in registering i have NO clue) so which should it be??? BBB or macys/fortunoff??

Bring FH to BBB..more fun than other places for the guys... Macys over fortunoffs...I registered at Fortunoffs and now I am regretting it...you can get the same stuff in macys that you can get in fortunoffs IMO.

those were my 3 options and what I decided to do was register at BBB and by the time we finished they had everything we needed so that is the only place we registered. I may do a honeymoon registry now since I didnt register anywhere else.
as for Fortunoff's vs Macy's I think I would go with Fortunoff's because I too have heard bad things about Macy's registry good luck and most of all have fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I say Macys over Fortunoff. I just had my bridal shower last weekend,and about 80% of my gifts came from Macys. People like to shop and Macys, and a lot of people have Macys cards.

take FH to BBB. there are so many little things there that he might have fun scanning. let him be in charge of scanning! my FH LOVED it.
also i would recommend going to macys. out of towners can go on the website to order you gifts and also i heard fortunoffs wasnt doing well with the economy.

i registered at BBB and Macy's. I did Macy's first, but I wasn't thrilled with their customer service. I decided to go to BBB because I wanted a 2nd place. The only advantage to Macy's is that they are all over the country, so that is good for the OOT.

i registered at BBB and Fortunoffs. I probably would have done it all at BBB if it wasn't for the fact that they didn't have the china I wanted. I really haven't had a problem with Fortunoffs though. If you sign up for the credit card and people buy things and you buy things from the registry, you get a lot of points. It paid for a few pieces of china. Plus I got a lot of coupons from them lately. I also found the price of my china is be less there, than at Macy's. That was my experience. It really depends on what they have that you want.

hello there!! i know that my wedding is at 2010 but i already registered last week and just want to give u my opinion!! i registered at fortunoff and i had such a good time!! even my fh was happy (he didn't want to go) it was such a great expirience- everyone was very nice and helpfull and they have such a nice stuff!!! i registered for my china (cocoa blossom by mikasa) just love it!! plus they give u some cupons and have amazing program dream club or sumthing like that!!! if u concern about ppl out of state don't worry they can shop online or call costumer cervice!! (my sister was registered there 2 years ago! and she had no problems) good luck with everything!!!! hope u will have fun today!!!

DEf havw him come to BBB with you...... I went with Macys . They gave you cash back after your wedding depending on how much you use your credit cards during the timeandhow much people buy off your registry.

I would say Macys because theres more of them and it will be much more convenient for your guests.

I think its a great idea to take FH to BBB and then see what, if anything, we have left after that to add on. This way i also have more time to choose between macy's and fortunoff's, if i even need a second place.
