I already had my shower, but I am missing items. On my Macy's registry it says I had 5 place settings of china bought and also a few other pieces of China. Well I received in the mail 3 place settings and a butter tray I knew I was getting. I have no clue who the rest of the china would be from, since I got presents from everyone that was invited to the shower.
The only thing I can think of is, someone bought us china for the wedding. I just don't see many people do this anymore. Could Macy's of made a mistake??

I had my shower too and at Fortunoff's there is 2 place settings that are unaccounted for too and one Lenox frame too- I dont know if someone bought them and hasnt given them to me or if Fortunoff's made a mistake. I guess I will wait a little while and see, or else I will have to buy two more place settings to complete the set

They could've made a mistake. Usually though, in my experience as a registry purchaser, they forget to take things off as opposed to taking off too many things.
Some people, although few, do still give registry gifts for the wedding (but, usually they ship them directly to you as opposed to bringing the actual gift to the wedding).

I too am 'missing' items from my BBB registry.
I know Macy's keeps track of all purchaes from registrys. Give them a call or stop in and tell them the situation, they will be able to tell you who made the other purchases.

If you call Macy's they can probably track down who purchased it for you depending upon how they paid. THey did this for me after my engagement party and told me exactly who purchased something that was missing. It showed up in the mail shortly after that. Good luck!

that happened to me as well at Fortunoff after my e-party it showed that 12 place settings of my china were purchased and I only received 11. I called there and it turned out that the person who bought the gift was supposed to pick it up and never went to get it when it came in so I went there with my drivers license and they saw that it was a gift from my registry and they gave me the place setting. I would call them and ask them abut it.
