BBB, Crate & Barrel. Fortunoffs is good if you dont have many OOT guests? Department stores can be good too - Macys gives you lots of freebies, a % back, and donates to a charity

Re: Registry
We're registered at BBB and Sears (for electronics) and have a registry started at Macy's....don't know if we'll let people know about it though.....almost everything on our Macy's registry is also on our BBB registry, but I might put on fine china from Macy's.

Re: Registry
If I did Macys, BBB and Fortunoff how do you know what to register for at each store? Better deals at better stores. For example we wanted the Cheers mikasa glasses. We got a lot of gift certifcates from our EP so last night we went to buy them. We bough t them at Macys becasue we looked on the computer and they where the cheapest plus we had a coupon. Do you have to figure that out with every thing you register for?
Plus I was also thinking about registering for our honeymoon to help with the cost of that...

Macys and Fortunoff have essentially similar things...not 100% identical, but close to it. If i were you, i'd do 1 of the 2, plus BBB, plus the honeymoon registry, but that's just me.

Re: Registry
Bed Bath and Beyone Williams and Sonoma Pottery Barn
These are all the places I registered.
I hear Target is not the best with return policies but I don't know that first hand. Have fun though....registering is so fun!!! And now that the holidays are right around the corner anytime anyone asks me what I want I direct them to my registries....makes life easy!!!

Re: Registry
I registered at BBB, Macy's and Fortunoff. Macy's has a cool Gift with Registry programs, and Macy's and Fortunoff both also give you a % back on the gifts bought :)

Re: Registry
BBB has a pretty good return policy, so you should definitely be aware how the return policy is for each store. i hear fortunoff can sometimes give brides a hard time for returns. i'm registered at BBB, fortunoff, and crate and barrel. i would consider your style, for one. registering at a big store with competitive prices is always good. most of these stores have competitive prices, so don't worry about how much your guests have to spend.

We found that most places had the same prices. If this was the case, we put everything on BBB because our guests can use the 20% off coupons, BBB is all over the country, and they have the best return policy. Sometimes another store will have a great sale and your guests might buy the gifts there instead (this happened with our e-party so we adjusted our registry accordingly).
You also might want to keep like items together, if some stores dont have the full set. We didn't do this though. BBB had *almost* our whole set of China, but they didnt carry the multipurpose bowls or matching stemware. We put those items on our Macy's registry. We could have put everything on Macy's to keep it together, but in the end we decided that BBB would be easier for our guests (especially with the coupons).

Re: Registry
Registered at Macy's, Bed Bath and Beyond and at Crate and Barrel. They all have internet sites and stores for your guest to purchase stuff for you.
Macy's has great incentives. You get % rewards based on the stuff that is purchased off your registry, and their return policy is really flexible. Other large department stores didn't offer any other additional incentives like Macys
Bed Bath and Beyond have a great return policy, you get cash back, if you return an item on your registry. Plus they have 20% off coupons.
