some people do it right away if theyre having an engagement party, I'm waiting until a few months before my bridal shower so it will be closer to my wedding date just in case some things are discontinued

Hello & congrats!

I waited a long time to register but a lot of people do it right away... you just need a couple of hours to get to the store (i made a list of things that I had in mind that I needed). You have some time but if you did it in the next couple of months you'd be good!

we did ours about 13 months before the wedding and kept upating and editing it. bed bath and beyond is the best!

you can start to register as soon as you like, but keep in mind you will have to watch and modify cuz stuff will get discontinued, we started about a month ago and getting married in sept.
macys girl told us to do everything but bed and bath now and wait till a month or so b4 shower to do that, cuz it very seasonal

We did Bed Bath and Beyond, they were very nice, and the WebSite has great tools to use, and it is very easy to update. I did it about 9 months before. We also did it before Xmas that way people can shop for us off of there as well. Bed Bath and Beyond people can use the coupons as well so you can get more stuff, and at the end, after you wedding day, whatever is not bought you get a discount on what is left.

I would say a couple of months before your wedding. Depends on how much you want to put on it. FH and I just started ours!! lol we dont want a huge registry tho..Just the basic necessities. the rest cash please :)

it was actually one of the first things that we did because we have an extremely generous family who asked right away! We also figured that we could use as much as possible b/c we are both starting fresh from 'mommy's house'... we are using our registry for the eparty... but waiting to put certain things on so that there is enough left for the shower!

if you register at Macys, you get 10% of whatever you spend at Macys towards a future giftcard, so if you shop at Macys regularly, it would be beneficial to set up a registry sooner rather than later.

We began ours shortly after getting engaged. We update it when ever we need to.

Before people start buying you things you don't want....I would register now! Then let the grapevine do it's thing.....
