Registry

Is it too soon for me to register for my 10/9/10 wedding? Also, can I close my registry after a certain date? I don't want to be tacky but I want cash for wedding gifts....of course I'm not going to say that but people will get the hint if there's no registry right?

You can register now, but some things may be discontinued before your wedding (bedding will most likely be discontinued).

We just took off all the less expensive items from our registries so people won't give $40 gifts when we're paying A LOT for them to come to the wedding. I want people to still have an option but for us not to lose out in the long run.

Are you having a shower? If so, you should definitely register. We only registered like two weeks ago and our wedding is in June.

And some people really do prefer to send a physical gift...so it's good to give them some ideas of what you'd actually like.

I don't think you will need to close your registry - most people know to give $$$ for a wedding.

It's not to soon at all, I would just hold off on registering fro bedding and towels, they get discontinued every season or just ask the people at the store that you are registering at what they think.

have fun!!!

Definitely register if you're having a shower. Typically registries are for shower gifts and *most* people give cash for the actual wedding gift. Though I have been known to send a gift off the registry as a wedding gift if I don't really have too much cash available.

Thanks girls! I will definitely register this weekend with FH. I will be having a shower, two actually, just don't know when.

I like the idea of taking the less expensive items off....I will use that for the wedding!
