Okay sooo ladies....Ive registered @ Bed Bath and beyond for the wedding but where are you supposed to register for your bridal shower? Is it a shared registry?! I dont think id want china or sheets for my bridal shower!!! haha Also is it a big no-no to put the registry announcment in with the Save the date cards?!

You will get whatever people get your for your shower! But will probably get the china, etc. You can't really pick what people decide to buy. You will want to have close to a complete registry for your shower because, at least in NY, people rarely give physical gifts at weddings. Usually cash or a check.
It is only ok to out registry info in a shower invite.
You can put your registry info on your wedding website, and but the website on your STD and in with your invites since it will also have hotel info, etc

We didn't register for china or sheets, either. But we didn't add them to the registry in between the shower and wedding.
We did register for simple white bone china that we use every day and can jazz up for holidays.

No one gives gifts for the wedding in NY so if you want anything make sure its on there for the shower.
And just because you have it already, doesn't mean you cant get better/newer things too.. I'm just worried that if I don't have enough stuff people will buy gifts that I don't want or don't like and have no use for!

also I wouldn't put the registry info on the STD or engagement party invites (if you are having one!) People will ask where you are registered.. I think its only OK to put it with the shower invites IMO.
