When do you register for your wedding gifts if you don't have an engagment party?

I would maybe do them anytime April-May based upon your wedding date. That's just my guess! I am having an eparty but didn't register b/c wedding date is so far away

Are you supposed to register for an e-party? Im so confused now! Sorry I cant be more help, I wasnt planning on registering till 6 months beforehand.. however if im supposed to register for my e-party that may change..

So heres the deal. I just had my e party and I wasn't going to register. A few people called my parents to specifically ask if we were registered. I prefered cash over gifts (to help pay for the wedding). Since a few people asked, I registered for a few items (toasting flutes, crock pot, bedding). I would highly recommend NOT registering because word spread fast and we got a million bed bath and beyond gift cards. I would just say you are only registering for your bridal shower and leave it at that. Cash is king!

As far as when to 'register'.... I would do it and get it out of the way. Look at other peoples registries and start adding items you like to your registry as you see them. Go and walk around the store and add items as you see them. It's VERY overwhelming and time consuming. I'd say save it for a rainy day!! Start on the next rainy or cold day that you don't have anything going on. At least you can start thinking about what styles or tastes you like, etc. Remember, you can always go online to add or remove items!

I'm doing it before STD. I will put our wedding website on the STD and on the website will be our registry links so I want it to be set up first!

I just registered for for my bridal shower. And anything left would have been an option for a wedding gift even though we would rather money.
