Re: Registry

soon! We did ours 1 year ahead and I have received many gifts for engagement presents (no party) as well as for the recent Holidays.

As long as you check on it often to ensure nothing is Out of Stock etc, you are good to go now.

Re: Registry

I'd say start creating your registry now. They usually say about 6 months before.

ASAP!

We've only been engaged for a week and people are already asking us!

Since we got engaged while we had a break from teaching, I had the time to set up a registry on MyRegistry.com which is great because it lets you add things from *any* website to your list

There's also a part of the MR which accepts cash donations...I labeled it 'House Fund' and wrote a nice note that made it clear we weren't asking for money, but anyone who chooses to do so will be helping us buy a home next year.

Re: Registry

Can you register for your Bridal Shower and not your wedding?

I'd like to get my china set for the bridal shower.

I would prefer to get checks rather than home goods for the wedding.

What's the protocol?

I say now. At least get started with it online before going into the stores!

I wish I was going! FI has to work... I know he'd miss out if I went without him.

Geez, nobody asked me if we were registered yet! I'm jealous of you guys getting gifts already with no party We'll need to do that soon and throw together a website I guess.
