Re: Registry

Creating our registry is by far my favorite part of the wedding planning so far!!! Its fun and not stressful! It is never too soon!! A week after we got engaged people were telling me they wanted to get us something and asking where we were registered!!

So is it too early to start my registry for an April 2013 wedding?

My wedding is April 2013 but we likely will be doing a small engagement party this coming spring. FH and I actually are going to the Macy's Sip & Scan party tonight to start our registry! People have been asking us since we got engaged and I know a few close family members and friends likely will send us gifts even without a party (they did it for my brother when he got engaged last summer). Also, some people may want to buy when there are home sales or the like so having it up early gives people more time to shop.

THANKS! we started our BBB today. Spent 4 1/2 hours in the store... Sp

This was after meeting with Darling Events. So it was a long day. On Thurs we are going to the Macy's Sip and Scan. Anyone else going?

FH and I are going tonight! But we are going to the one in Manhattan as I work in downtown Manhattan and live in Brooklyn. Have fun; I am so excited!!!

So I was at the Sip N' Scan in the Smithaven Mall.... Was anyone less than thrilled with it? Cause it definitely wasn't as nice as I expected...

We are going to register at our first store this Sunday, Williams-Sonoma. It will be our smallest registry, over the next few weeks we will register at BBB and Macy's.

Aww I wasn't sure if it would be any good.
I would have gone except FH works evenings that day and I said, whatever, I don't really want to register there that much.

Yea, I mean, it was alright, but nowhere near what I expected. Oh well, you live and you learn. They make a big deal about registering with them and getting 5% back on the things people buy there, but when you figure out the math, it doesn't really add up to a whole lot anyway.
