Registry Dilema

Registry Dilema

So i registered for my casual china at Macys-a box of 4 place settings are regularly 90 bucks i registered for 4 boxes (16 total place settings)-- but they are almost always on sale for like 49,99 and most recently for 29.99. i went to Macys this weekend to just buy all 4 boxes myself bc the price was so great-- they were out of stock so i got a rain check.

Of course someone bought all 4 of my boxes off my registry TODAY when they are NOT on sale.. how much does that suck?

I wonder if there is anything i can do? I hate the fact that someone spent a total of 360 bucks for what i could have gotten for 120!! (and still have a raincheck for)

Do you think that if i were to buy them for myself with my raincheck and return the ones bought for me it would show on the registry that they got it at regular price and if i returned them i would get store credit for the regular price at least ?

I say GO for it!! when you get the other set, you can return it and get something you really wanted.

You need the gift receipt for Macys when you return things other wise they will on;y give you back the lowest price they sold for. So hopefully whoever bought it for you will give you the gift receipt.

When someone buys something off your registry and you want to return it, you get a gift card for the amount the guest paid. So if they paid full price, you should receive $360 in gift cards.

Macy's has on file who paid what so as long as they bought it off your registry, then you'll be able to get $360 back.
