registry- do or dont

My FH and I have been living together for 6 years and have everything and more than we need. Do I register for stuff that i really dont need and that will just be more stuff collected or just register for a few items (I do need a food processor)?
How do I refrain from getting stuff I do not need?
Is there anything that I should register for that I do not know about? I have been to so many bridal parties but was usually to tipsy to notice what they got

I would only register for things I really need. More and more it is becoming common to put not traditional items on your registry like a luggage set for example. Usually ppl have bedding, formal and informal china, etc..

I was in a similar situation. we were already living together and had pretty much all that we needed.

so we decided to upgrade. we registered for 'nicer' things like good knives, everyday 'real' china, some crystal, an expensive coffee maker, super thick towels, good pots and pans, a Kitchen Aid mixer, attachments for our Dyson, etc.

We are also 'upgrading'
We have a million sheets, towels, pots & pans etc. but nothing really nice so that's what we've registered for

what's a honeymoon registry?

Liberty Travel does this where they give you cards to send out with you shower invites that states you are registered with them. That way people can give you money towards your Honeymoon or future travel.

I was thinking the same thing. Take stock of your home - is there anything that you would like to replace?

if i were you since you basically have everything i would registry for things that I WANT that i would not buy myself and little things here and there that you are going to need or dont already have

I would register for just what you want.
New towels, sheets, bedding

If you dont want any of that I think theres a way you can register for a honeymoon and people contribute towards that.

Have fun!

The Big Day is another site that you can use to register for a honeymoon.

we are in a similar situation... we have not registered yet but we are thinking we will register at Amazon. We need a new digitala camera, we want to register for bikes, oh and luggage.

Also there are so many different stores that offer registries such as Home Depot. There's bound to be something that you need as untraditional as it might be...who cares?

What if you pgrade some of your items. I know that if you register at BBB that when you return the items on the registry they'll give you cash back. That way if your decide you really don't need it you can put the money towards the wedding or honeymoon

it is AWESOME! and you know how sometimes with upright vacuums things don't always work as they should? (like the extension hose), everything on the Dyson works amazingly well!

to us it worth it just for the fact that DH has allergies. this vacuum picks up EVERYTHING!
