registry gifts sent to your house

do you thank the person immediately?

or wait until after the shower?

should i not have opened them? lol

I got 2 gifts in the last 2 days!

I opened them right away. I called them to say thanks, but I sent a thank you card along with the rest...meaning after the shower.

I'm to noisy so I would ope them immediately and send out the Thank you right away. That is just me!

i dont have the girls phone number

its FHs friend, who stole my CPs lololol

is it ok if I FB message her saying I got it etc etc

and then send her the formal thank you after the shower?

Ohh I remember the drama with her. I think FB is Ok and then later a card.

traditionally people send you gifts off of your registery when you get engaged and it is proper etiquette to thank them as the gifts come. even as this is a shower gift I believe it is still appropriate to send a thank you now. I definitely would never thank via facebook. HTH!

Open right away - and then send out a thank you - One less thank you to send out later!

i did them all after and i did open them at the shower but only if they were small gifts. something like a vacuum i didnt lol the person was at my shower but theres no way i was going to bring it there.

Since we live in FL, we requested that all our gifts be shipped to us.

We've gotten 3 so far and we're just stacking them in our gym for now.

I personally would not send out Thank You's until after my shower....I think it's nice to give people that 'surprise' reaction and thank them and hug them at the shower, etc...

I think people don't expect to receive Thank You's until after the shower. I'm going to wait.
