Registry ?: Has this ever happened to anyone?

Registry ?: Has this ever happened to anyone?

So I snooped, I know, bad bride...

People are purchasing items not on our registry. These are appearing on our on-line registry.

For example, I registered for blue and off-white bathroom towels and someone bought us a black bath mat

I don't mean to sound ungrateful but there were a lot of things left on the registry. Why buy a coordinated item that's not the color of the sheets, towels, etc that the bride picked out?

Has anyone had this experience?

I'm just going to have to return more stuff so what was the point in me spending all of those hours registering?

Sometimes for some reason when they scan it, it comes up the wrong color.
Where are you registered?
This happened to my cousin. It was supposed to be maron & gray towels and they were coming up as some other weird color.

Yes, sweetie it happens. I'm sorry!

Not only that, but they'll get the wrong color altogether. My shower happened and I'm still getting things off my registry (which leads me to believe that my guests will show up with presents ).

On the positive, it could be that people are buying stuff for them and it's all being rung up together so it appears on your registry, but it amy not be for you.

I know that happens at Crate & Barrel. I bought 1 thing off a friends registry and then a bunch of stuff for myself. All of my items turned up on her online registry as wants 0 has 1.

It's BB&B.

Actually, I registered for a bathroom set but left off the toothbrush holder and included the lotion dispenser... some one bought the toothbrush holder but not the lotion dispenser. We use liquid soap and Sonicare toothbrushes so I didn't bother with the toothbrush holder.

I never even registered for ANY color bathmat. Only towels. I have nothing else black so I hope it was a purchase for them.

My registry is a bit of a mis-mosh as FH and I were both living on our own. Some things we are desperate for and some things I have 6 of! Yes, I have six wisks, I swear. Does anyone need one, two or three

My FMIL keeps getting inquiries from wedding guests (not shower) as to where we are registered. She keeps hoping that the OOTers will do as NYers do and give $$$ but it doesn't look that way.

BBB it weird when they scan.

I had people buy things for themselves along with things off my registry and whatever they purchases with the gift they also scanned on my registry and purchased but not requested

example:

someone bought me my towels and they bought themselves some little things... when they went to the regisgter, they gave the girl the registry to scan and the whole purchase was put towars my registry- so the towels were taken off as purchased and the chocolates and other items were listed as a zero for requested and a 1 for purchased.

weird... i know...

DH's grandma bought us pink towels! I had a 5-alarm freak-out & removed it, so peopel woudln't hink I liekd pink towels.

She bought them alogn with the green & taupe towels we did register for, so they showed up on our registry has 0 requested, 2 purchaed.
I was annoyed, but at the shower she said they were for guests. I thought that was cute.

It is possible that someone purchased that item for themselves & it was added to your registry. Just a thought

Yes! A friend bought some items off another's friends registry, and because they were purchasing a color that was not on the registry (by mistake) the item was then added to the registry and marked purchased.

This happened at BB&B, but I think it was corrected immediately, but only because we noticed.

It must be BBB. But don't fret, the stuff they bought might not be for you! Sya thy bought a corckpot form yourt registry and a shower head for themselves, the crock pot will show up as purchased and the shower head will be added to your registry and marka s bought. it's a glitch in their system! So don't worry! It might not even be for you, Plus you can always return it
