Registry help!

How many place settings did you get for your china, flatware and stemware?

I did 12..that's what the registry associate suggested..

I also did 12...but I only got casual/everyday china. I didn't register for formal china.

I did 10 for casual china and 10 for flatware. But only requested 8 for stemware. I thought it was more important to have more of the china and flatware than glasses.

For our formal china and crystal we registered for 12.

For our casual we did 10.

I had 16 settings for the formal china and we registered for 8 settings of casual. We have a BIG family!!

I would say definitely 12, and don't give it a second thought.
If you are ordering a Lenox, Mikasa, or other pattern that is available at an outlet store, I would also suggest you gradually add on more dinner plates on your own, whether it's 2, 3 or a few more if you expect lot of company. That's the piece you will use the most and you never know if a pattern will be discontinued in the future, or (God forbid) if one breaks. They often have coupons and that's when I buy them.

Oh, and 12 for flatware and stemware.
