registry help

Re: registry help

Also, china prices range DRASTICALLY. The fine china set i registered for is like $114 per setting at BBB (which is really 20% off of that b/c who shops at BBB w/out a coupon?! i mean, really?!). but i've seen people register for china as low as $49 per setting and as high as $250 per setting.

This is mine.

Waterford Brocade

I registered for this set for 'every day' b/c it was cheap enough. But technically, it's Mikasa and it's still 'china' - it is called Italian Countryside by Mikasa. It's $199 for a 45 piece dinnerware set at BBB.

We are registered at:

Crate and Barrel
Bed Bath and Beyond
Macys

The first 2 have the bulk of the registry on it and Macys only has a few things. 3 registeries aren't annoying. It gives people more of variety. I've been to lots of showers where the bride has 3.

As far as fine china - we did not register for any. We just registered for nice dinnerware that is casual enough for everyday use and nice enough for a formal dinner. It's from C&B.

We registered at BBB. We arent doing china, instead we are doing a white set to serve as our 'china.' Then we will also register for a patterened set.

Good luck!

I think 3 is totally acceptable. We are dong a honeymoon registry (because by the time we are married we will be living together over 3 years)

i like amys idea about 'fun stuff'
and no i dont think patio furniture is ballsy...

ive been to so many showers were people were looking for big gifts to chip in on and there were none.

i think its a great idea actually

I wanna register at target and home depot. My mom is horrified! Lol

And im not registering for china. I have my set from my 1st wedding that i hate now, never used and cant sell! Ugh.

aww you register wherever you want!! but see that's what I'm worried about never using it..honestly we have no family and FH's def S*CKS so I don't really expect to get much of it anyway

I wouldnt then. That gives you room for lots of other stuff bc china is expensive and you need a complete set. If you dont get it all you feel obligated to finish it yourself.

Pick some fun cool stuff too.

Im picking patio furniture. Is it ballsy? Yes! I also want a ps3 and a flat screen tv lol.

yea you're probably right amy.. are you really??!! haha I thought about that kind of stuff!! hey it's a wish list right?? stuff your normally wouldn't buy yourself??lol

Hmmmm I have intentions of registering at BBB and Macy's. I think that is easy for people and gives them an option to use their Macy's credit card!

Also, I will most likely register for fine china.

and also sex.

thanks sex lol I'm just having a dilemma..lol I'm so friggin picky and my bedding and bathroom stuff are from BBB fine china is from Macy's but my everyday dish set is a pattern from Pfaltzgraff that my grandma left me that was a brand new setting for 8. When she got it and I loooved it and when she got sick she said I could have it
So I registered with them too becuse I added so many things to it ..ugggh

I'm registering on their site too...and coincidentally, when my family saw the pattern we picked, they all said it looked like the set my grandma had her whole married life.

3's totally normal. The etiquette books say no more than that, but everyone I know who's gotten married recently has had 4. I'm capping it at 3.

awww yay for Grandma patterns!!! <3 and really 4??!! good now I don't feel so bad
