We registered at Williams Sonoma and Bloomies and got a TON of awesome stuff! Too bad we live in a one bedroom apt and most of our new gear is sitting in my childhood bedroom. Besides the point. Anyways, for one reason or another we got a BUNCH of duplicates...
What are some general return policies? We have gift receipts for most of the stuff....can we get cash money or will they default us to store credit???
We need cash money bad and I don't know what I'll do with one ice cream maker, nevermind two....

they'll give you store credit even without the receipt. if you need the money, i would suggest trying to sell the gift certificates you get on ebay or something ...

You would return both and so would my husband! I'm right there with the two of you as well...I'd definitely prefer dinero over lumpy gross homemade sorbet....I know what I'm capable of in the kitchen and it isn't frozen desserts.

Oh! I just bought my dad an ice cream maker for Christmas! We used to make ice cream with my Barbie set when I was a little girl... The memories.
Totally try to either sell some of it if you need the cash or return to the store and sell the credit they give you back.

I am not sure if its Bed Bath or Macy's but one of them give you back cash. Depending on where you were registered. Also they will most likely ask you if you were registered. It also depends on the manager or cashier your dealing with... Most will bypass a store policy to make the customer happy.

W-S gave me a gift card when i returned one of the items. I did not have a receipt and she told me she would return it but really wasnt supposed to.
I never had a problem without the receipt at bloomies but they only gave us store credit (but thats all I wanted anyway)
