Hey girls, no one seems to know the answer to this one, and you girls always seem to know so....
How many items are you supposed to register for?
Right now we're at 146 items. They are all at very different price ranges.
There are 200 guests invited to the wedding and I think about 40 to the shower (although I'm not sure because its a suprise).
Am I okay? TIA

there is no amount you're supposed to register for. Just as many things as you want.
Remember for the wedding most of your guests if not all will give you cash at your wedding. The gifts will mostly be bought for the shower and youre fine now.

There are some sites online that will provide a 'suggested amount' of items to select based on the number of guests but it's really up to you.
I didnt know there was a limit... I certainly didn limit mine! I just made sure that I had enough different price ranges on ours to make everyone comfortable and I basically registered for everything I ever wanted.. I figured what isnt bought, we can buy ourselves after the wedding

146 item for a 40 person shower is definitely enough but put whatever you want don't limit!

Macys told me to register for 250 gifts for 200 guests, but im having 200 guests at the wedding not my shower. I have a little under 200 gifts I registered for.

also if you have guests that are not from the NY area then those guests may get you a gift. My family is all OOT and we will probably get gifts for the wedding becasue cash is not the standard everywhere

im having bout a 40 person shower and bbb lady told us to have at least 180 items..we couldnt get that much think we r at 150 but put whatever u need dont worry bout the number

Thank you girls! I think you are right. Most of the guests arent from OOT, so im not guna drive myself nuts over it. Sometimes u need a little LIW to bring you back to earth
