registry-how much is too much?

registry-how much is too much?

Is it bad to register at more than 3 places??
I need some everyday dishes and crate and barrel is discontinuing the ones I originally registered for. They don't have any others I like- but target does....only that means I'd be registered at 4 different places. Thoughts?

I'm registered at two and found what I liked and wanted. I think four is ok.

Four is not too many at all. But, if the only thing on your target registry will be your plates, why not just get them yourself or just spread the word that those are what you want, like to an aunt or something so she'll just get them for you. Then it's not like you send out the target info and all that's on there are plates.... Christmas is coming too, you can ask for them then. Just an idea.

Take a look at the 08 board for a warning about registering at Target......

if youa re only registering at target for the dishes..

I might be concerned that if people check the registry and the item is here, then at a laster date go there to purchase it and someone did already, then there is nothing else there for them to purchase and they will have to make a 2nd trip.

also i hear that Target has a terrible return policy for bridal registry gifts

I tried to register at Macy's but it's like all the same stuff to me... I just want my BBB stuff. Ha ha! I don't think we need a lot, I feel like I'm putting crap on there just cuz it looks cool or 'it'd be nice to have a new pan' ha ha...

I think 3 places is enough IMO

I'm registered at 2 but I know some people that are registered at 4. Its helpful especially if you have a lot of out of town guests because some stores are only regional.

I agree, I feel strange registering at all, but I know it's kinda necessary so you get things you really want and need.
