REGiSTRY MUST HAVES

Original post by KatieG2010

I began my registry research. I am looking to reggister next month and am trying to figure out what the best pots, pans, blender, iron etc etc etc are so i make the best registry choices. Call me crazy, or a nerd but I want to make sure i make the best decisions...

PLEASE POST YOUR REGISTRY SELECTIONS OR WHAT YOU THINK IS A MUST HAVE BRAND OR ITEM.

TIA

Salad spinners are AWESOME if you like to buy heads of lettuce as oppossed to the pre-cut salad in a bag. You wash the lettuce and spin it dry! I love my salad spinner.

those pre-cut salads in a bag get recalled on a regular basis. i personally don't like salad spinners, i rinse my lettuce off & then pat dry with a paper towel.

me too... i thought the spinner was to evenly distribute the toppings and dressing.... hmmm...

No, it's to dry the lettuce; I don't like to dry it with paper towels because it's wasteful IMO.

it is also too much money i think

Any suggestions on the steamer brand? I've been through two and haven't found one that really works well yet.

I have the Joy Mangano 'my little steamer' - I got it off HSN though but it is like 30 bucks

Must haves:
Convection oven.. I can't live without mine.
Revel Crock Pot. 6.5Quart - Love me crock pot registered for the large size.
All Clad pots and pans -
Kitchen Aid Mixer - the large one.
Baking pans- flat cookie sheet, loaf pan, cupcake/muffin pans, bundt pan etc.
Corning ware - white
mixing bowls.

ITA with this list. Always use the convection oven... get a big one though, like the Hamilton Beach two tier with rotisserie..model 31197R. BIggest one I could find...fits nicely on the countertop and saves me from using the oven on hot days.

Also..I would add a Farberware percolator, either electric or stove-top... if you're not into percolators, Keurig is the new hot coffee item.

Maybe The Griddler too... better than a george foreman.
A pizza stone is great too..always use mine.
(can't spell tonight)

I registered for a Rowenta portable steamer- did some research, people say it's good. I hope so!

And when registering for nice place settings - I would recommend that you check that they are dishwasher safe and chip resistant, reasons being self explanatory!

I look forward to my new luggage (we're going on a cruise in OCt and it will be nice not to have to borrow the parents for once!

i want a juicer and a clothes steamer!! any recommended brands?

i have not even thought of pots and pans yet (that would also involve cooking, hahaha)

I love Farberware pots and pans. My mom has used them for years and so has my MIL. I use them practically every day and I love them!

That is what i have on my registry - and they are so inexpensive!!!

They are and they last too!
