any of you feel that the things you really want/need are not being purchased?
all of the items that are being purchased on my registry are things that we really dont need.. we just put them on there because it was 'nice to have'
I feel like things that I really want or need are not being purchase.. is it just me or any of you girls feel this way too.
sometimes I wish they had a place on the site were we can list the items that we really need.

Re: registry poll~~~~~~
good idea - during the registry forum my suggestion was to have a little memo field on registry page we could write in.

We only put up things we really wanted and needed so EVERYTHING was a happy gift to be received!

Re: registry poll~~~~~~
yes and no... people seem to love getting dinnerware, china and glassware
we're hoping for some pots/pans but we tried to only put on the things we really wanted so hopefully we will get a good mix

Re: registry poll~~~~~~
my mom asked me which things on the registry were the things we wanted to get first...so i told her. i believe she is discussing it with some of my family.
but maybe talk it over with your mom or your moh so in case people ask them they can spread the word???
from the showers i attended its seems like the closer family members usually do the china, glassware, pots/pans, luggage, vac etc. so i wouldnt be too concerned.

Re: registry poll~~~~~~
The wedding registry on Amazon.com actually lets you specify whether each item is 'love to have,' 'like to have,' or 'nice to have.' I also love the Amazon registry because you can find anything under the sun on there!

Re: registry poll~~~~~~
My shower invites just went out, so it is still a little early. But my mom has also asked me which items I really need and she will be discussing it with close family members.... We will see what actually happens next month!

That is an AWESOME idea. I was just thinking about this concept this week - what happens if people buy the stuff i'd 'like to have' over the things I really 'need to have'? So I reduced the amount of 'like to have' items just in case. But all registeries should have what Amazon has!!!

Re: registry poll~~~~~~
You know, the Amazon registry even has a Thank-You List that says the names and addresses of who got you what for easy thank you-card writing. It's such a well designed registry. I'm surprised a lot more people don't use it!
