We are registered at the following: Macys Fortunoff Williams Sonoma Bed Bath and Beyond Home Depot My question is this: Are we registered at too many stores? We had an engagement party andwere only registered at Macys and Bed Bath and Beyond...should I eliminate a few?

I am registered at 4 stores
MACY's - its nationwide and my out of town guests can have access to stores more so than Fortunoff
Fortunoff- has everything I need
William Sonoma - got most of my bakeware there
Crate and Barrel- got everyday stuff there
I registered for the fine china, formal flatware and crystal at both MACY's and Fortunoff because one or the other is always running a sale. Once any of the sets are complete, I will remove the items myself from the other at home. I already got my flatware from MACY's so I took it off from Fortunoff.
Other than that, remember that a registry is simply a wish list. No one is obligated to by from your registry at all so who cares how many places you choose. Nobody is inconvenienced unless they take it upon themselves to go to each store. And now that people can buy online, they cant complain either!

Well it depends on how many people you have attending the wedding-- for all those registry looks like you are having a lot gives them more options

Hello...well I would say we are not having a big wedding...maybe about 130 to 150...I was discussing it with my fiancee last night and we both agree that we are going to eliminate one maybe two...I just feel it's too many...

Yeah those are quite a few!!! Fortunoff has everything the other stores has (and more). I would keep Fortunoff & Home Depot

i would elimnate some too... it is kind of scary when you open a bridal shower invite and all these registry cards fall out at you! The stores you have definitely have similar items, so i think it may be good to combine some of them...

I have 4, i couldn't help myself. I needed bloomies for China, Pier 1 b/c its the only store where my non-internet family can get to, Crate & Barrel for the everyday stuff & Starwood for help with the honeymoon.

I would say you have quite a bit. I would take away Williams Sonoma and keep Fortunoffs. WS has the same stuff Fortunoffs has and they are stupidly expensive. You want to be able to get as much as you can without scaring your guests. I would def. keep Bed Bath and Beyond, they have everything. AND If i was buying a gift for someone in HD it would be a gift card only!

Yeah I know I am registry nuts! It's just so easy to do online...and yes I have actually gone to the store to see the stuff..
Oh, my friend got married at Russo's on the Bay about 7 years ago...It was beautiful...
