Registry question?

I was on my Macy's registry, of course peeking!!
Under a few of my items, it says ' choose something else' Or something like that. Does this mean the item is discontinued? I acutally took all those items off my registry and changed them just in case. I have a feeling my shower is soon.

Do yourself a favor and replace the item now. I noticed that too, but only after the items were discontinued or out of stock!

I'm glad I caught it. I wish Macy's would email you or something.

There is one thing on my list (a cookie press) that says to replace it in red letters but I can still click on the link and it still shows in stock.

So maybe they're discontinuing it after they run out? I wouldn't be worried about a cookie press, especially since they don't have another one and neither does my other registry (BB&B) but for something bigger like bedding or luggage, I definitely would.

It does indeed. I got an email from Macy's a few weeks ago, and it said to check my registry for discontinued items - which would appear in RED, and that for some items Macy's would suggest a replacement. I was shocked when I checked it. There is so much stuff that is discontinued, I almost feel like I have to start all over from the beginning.

ditto... I got the e-mail, too. There's an electric skillet on there that I'm ready to go buy myself! I wanted that!

There is actually a little blurb at the top of the page that explains just what we thought about discontinued items.

But if just the price is red, that just means it's on sale, right?
