Registry Question

So I am going to start registering for gifts. My only problem is the china. My Mom is passing her china down to me. Which is great but I can't have it for a while. It is is the lenox solitaire. So I am thinking that I would register for 8 place settings figuring I could always 'borrow' hers when I needed. What do you think of this. Also do you think that I would need to register for the larger pieces?

why dont you get the extra place settings- how many does she have already?

If she has 12 place settings already, and you want to entertain, i would just borrow it when needed. then, udont have to register for any at all.

if on the other hand, they have added to the china and they have new pieces then i would register for them..

Do you need china right now? do you have a lot of fancy dinner parties? If so, order a full set (not peace meal).

If you don't have fancy dinner parties at this point, I would hold out for your Mom's.....a family heirloom!
