So we're registered at BB&B and Macy's. Our fine china is at both places but we only have it on the BB&B registry (12 settings). Would you put 6 on one registry and 6 on the other for people who choose one store over the other??

I wouldn't do that. my china was only at macys and it was frustrating because macys always has sales so I was always worried about people paying full price when they could have gotten it on sale.
either way, i'd keep the whole set at one place.

I think Macy's will give you a free place setting if the whole set is purchased. I think it might be certain brands- def Macy's.

In my opinion, Macy's was more expensive then BBB at least for our china that we chose.
Our place setting cost $70 at Macy's compared to $40 in BBB!
Plus people could use the coupon for BBB

i have all 12 settings on both registries. BBB lets you return for CASH BACK so i figured any extras i get will be cash in my pocket

Same here with the china at both stores - I thought the same 6 on each would be smart - instead we have all 12 on Macys - product completion incentives are better !!!

We have ours on BBB only. It was cheaper than Macys and BBB always has those great coupons.
