Re: Registry question

I only registered at Fortunoff, what I liked about them better was that they have more bonuses with the fine china (free soup bowls, accent plates etc). Also, the store just seemed nicer, instead of having blenders piled up to the ceiling! But they do accept bb&b coupons too!

Re: Registry question

Hmm...I would register for brands that can only be found at one place over an other, rather than one type of item over an other, if that makes any sense back lol.

We're doing BBB and Macy's, so Macy's I'm registering for some Fiesta pieces, and more upscale items that BBB doesn't carry...I would imagine the same for Fortunoff's, they might have more upscale brands that you could take advantage of as opposed to a more standard brand of the same item at BBB.

i am also registered at BBB and fortunoff. i thought ok ill register for my upscale things at fortunoff and everyday stuff at BBB ... (although BBB has everything including really nice china and glasses)
well i have all my bedding, fine china, and crystal glasses at fortunoff. i have pretty much everything else at BBB (flatware, everyday plates, serving platers, pots and pans, kitchen appliances ect ... BECAUSE even tho fortunoff has the same stuff, i like that people can use the 20% coupons at BBB! anddd i like that you can return stuff for money at BBB.

I also registered at fortunoff. I just found that they had everything in one place. I also like the fact that they have furniture and if we put it on the registry we get 15% off everything thats left. I also heard that they take BB&B coupons as well so thats a plus for my guests.

Re: Registry question

I did BBB for all my name brand appliances so guest can use 20% off couons (many don't know fortunoff's accepts these) also Fortunoff's is not convenient for many and BBB is.

I also did some of the higher end things at Fortunoff's like my vaccuum, lamps, bedding, towels, and unique things that BBB doesn't carry.

I was going to Macys because as i looked on line, they had a large selection of bedding, towels, bath accessories, etc. the problem was most of Macy's finer things have to be ordered. They do not carry most china, crystal or silver in their stores and then they charge shipping also if guests go there a week before the shower, your gifts will not arrive in time and you will have to open a card saying something was ordered for you.

Re: Registry question

Register for whatever you like most at each store.

Re: Registry question

We are registered at both BBB and Fortunoff and we wound up putting most of our things on the BBB registry. BBB is more convenient for people because there are so many of them. We put our bedding on at Fortunoff but had to buy it ourselves because it was discontinued. We also put our towels and flatware and some other things. If you go to one of the bigger BBB's they should have almost everything Fortunoff does. We registered for our fine china at BBB and our crystal. We registered at the BBB in Westbury or Carle Place - the one across from Fortunoff by the source mall right in the same parking lot of bene hana.
