whenever you want!!! the only thing is that sometimescertan items may get discontinued but you can constantly update it so no worries

i just did it this past saturday, i thought at first it was too early but i like the fact you can change things online afterwards too. so i say go for it!

Register whenever you want!! The good thing about these registries is once you open them you can change things around online...So if something does get discontinuted all you have to do is go on the website and pick out a replacement!! It's super easy!!

you can do it whenever you want....for us we are waiting bc we might be moving this summer so I wanted to wait and see what we would need in our new place....so we will probably not register until the late summer/fall.

do it when ever you want. I did mine after I got engaged and it pays off because my birthday is monday and my grandparents bought me my present off my registry. Think for the holidays too people can buy off of it as well.

anytime we started a reg at crate & barrel one mth after we got in engaged, its the one wedding related thing that will not cost you guys anything we had a blast, we will be finishing it at macys but we wanna go to the one in the city i cannt wait to go and finish!!!

same here!! people not in my family thought i was nuts....but my family is the family of gifters so i was told to do it early and i did! we got some stuff for vday, easter, and my upcoming bday...
and as mentioned earlier...its so easy online bec you can always update if discontinued!!

I'd register at a store that has a variety things that you and FH can enjoy. Some people register at more than one to hit different price points or because one store does not carry what the other store does. Either way the registry should reflect your personalities and be a place that has a huge selection.
Forgot to add that you can register at any time and just update your items if your taste changes or something is discontinued.

I was told 6 to 8 months before the wedding because sometimes things get discontinued.
But like a lot of the girls said you can play around with it online and if something is discontinued you can change it.
I'm getting married in May 2010 and I think I'm going to register in Sept.

we registered all ready (our wedding is Aug 2010). I look at it once a month to see if anything has been discontinued or anything new had come out. We had 2 people all ready purchase a gift from it as an engagement gift even though we didn't have a party.
