Registry question...not enough gifts!

Registry question...not enough gifts!

So I have kind of a weird problem...I set up my registry a few weeks ago and only have like 65 items on it. I have owned a house for a couple years now and have a lot of what I need...of course a lot was hand-me-downs and the cheaper version of stuff so FH and I picked out a bunch of things that we wanted to upgrade. However, we just don't need a ton of stuff.

What makes this more difficult is that my house is the size of a shoebox and has ZERO storage space...the house was built without closets (not 1; we had to improvise and build 1 in our bedroom) so I have no where to put stuff! FH built a storage area and a shed in the backyard but both are filled to capacity. And my parents are in the midst of selling their house so they have no where to store my stuff either. I don't want to register for items that I don't need, especially since I have no where to put them!

I know I'm going to have a large shower, and I feel bad that there aren't a lot of items to choose from and that people may be left with nothing to buy. I know for myself I like a large selection and I feel bad for my guests! I even put things like a coffee table and some end tables and stuff like that (cheap ones!) and I still only have 65 items.

I do still want a shower though (is this wrong??) because I want to experience it--and I do need to upgrade on a bunch of things that FH and I can't afford to pay for while saving for the wedding. Any girls have any suggestions as to what else I can do? Maybe a HM registry?

TIA!!!

tell whoever is planning it to spread the word that you want things like victoria secret gift cards or gift cards to be used on honeymoon... to be honest if i were you i would add things to bbb registry and return what you dont want for cash

Tell the host to say you are also intrested in cash or get everything you want and return them at BBB for the cash.

FH and i have lived together for 2 years and also live in a tiny apartment. So our registry is pretty small too
I decided against adding anything bc we dont need it and i dont want to bother returning etc. i am hoping to get gift cards/cash instead which may be wrong of me but oh well.
You could def do a honeymoon registry though...

I'm in the same boat. We don't need household items and I have nowhere to store anything. We did a honeymoon registry on honeyfund.com

i think it is fine not having a big registry. but i think that a HM registry sounds like a great idea.

I would def do the HM registry

and like some girls said, you can always return things for cash, BBB Is great like that!

what about doing a theme like a lingerie theme or a honeymoon theme

this way people can buy you HM related things and they can put that in the invite

so you can be registered at BBB for whatever upgrades you want...but ppl can also buy you HM related stuff or add to your HM fund

if you don't want to do the HM registry, and you have already added everything you can think of to upgrade, then leace it the way it is and people will give you cash or gift cards. that way you can buy what you need later on.
try registering for artwork if your into it so that you can decorate your house, or new lamps, light fixtures - things you wouldn't think of...
