Registry questions - does anyone use a food processor?
If so what do you use it for. I saw stuff at Fortunoff that I would have no idea what to do with. I did register for a showtime rotisserie...haha. That thing looks so cool.

I don't have 'my own' food processor yet but... I use my mom's all the time... its great for chopping, grating (veggies like carrots or potato)... there are many uses.

Oh ok. Thanks. There are so many 'makers' out there like pasta maker, bread maker, panini maker, smoothie maker, ice cream maker, pizelle maker, quesadilla maker. Who the heck has room for all this stuff? So I am trying to only get things I will actually use.

I think the food processor is a good tool if you really like to cook or will be doing a lot of it. Some of the 'makers' are unnecessary.
How did it go tonight?

Oh we had a lot of fun. Brian liked the gun. He managed to register for a $5500 plasma TV. It was pretty funny. He kept trying to point the gun at me and register me...haha. We got though all the appliances and cookware. We still have to do flatware and linens and bedding. But I need to pick wall colors and furniture before I know what bedding I want. Plus I have no tables so how can I know what sizes to get. But overall it was really fun. That wall of flatware is ridiculous! But they have so many nice things at Fortunoff. You will have so much fun next weekend when you go.

they say with bedding that you should wait until you're in the 6 month range... b/c it gets discontinued frequently. (which is true b/c we reg'd for spare sheets that i liked, and they were discontinued w/in a few weeks.. but it wasnt a big deal since they were just spares, and not part of our Real set.)
the flatware wall gave me a headache... mike picked up a fork, it looked nice, we scanned it, walked away, and vowed to Never look at that wall again!!!!
the Showtime is the most AMAZING thing ever invented!!!!!!!! my mom raves about it all the time, and i was like Yeah, whatever. We originally reg'd for it, but then we were like EHHHH its just going to take up more space. Well, someone got it for us for my bridal shower, and we use it like EVERY night! we got the compact one, so it doesnt take up a ridiculous amount of space, and it is Awesome! everything that we've cooked on it is Delicious... its SOOO easy... you really do just Set it and Forget it it has made life so much easier, and Tasty!

Its kinda cool but kinda creepy at the same time... I would feel like I have an animal scurrying around the house.

Yeah Neenie - set it and forget it! haha. Ron Popeil is in the house. Too funny. I have watched that infomerical like 5 times. Do you put anything on the meat? Or just stick it in and it cooks?

Re: Registry questions - does anyone use a food processor?
yeah... theyre like little kids... you have to keep them focused with little games
kim- mike usually puts like salt pepper and garlic powder (and rosemary on chicken) on it... he's like the Spice King you just season it however you want, and then stick it in, and it tells you how long to put it in for.... i love it with chicken especially, b/c im always afraid of red meat, but this cooks perfect all the way down to the bone. I sound like i should be on the freakin' infomercial

Re: Registry questions - does anyone use a food processor?
they sell it in the stores now... i know target definately has it.... and i was shocked too. When my mom would rave about it, i wouldnt pay attention,,, but seriously, it is awesome. we get home from work, throw something in there for an hour (or whatever the time is) and take it out and eat... and u dont have to keep checking it b/c it cooks evenly and thoroughly (so u dont have to flip and check and all that stuff)... AND it makes the house smell awesome

Very cool Neenie! Let me know next time he is cooking. Me and FH will be over.
I have heard a few different people say how much they love the showtime rotissiere. Neenie hopefully Ron Popeil is not reading this. You might be called up to be on the next informercial.
