If you have a new set that you are happy with then there is no need to register for another set.

my set is fine also... but we just added things like a lasagna pan, and 12 and 14' pans... things we know we could use and dont have.... dont listen to others... orrr you can please them, they can buy it for you, and then you can return it for something you really want

I wouldn't add another one. If anything, if there is a piece or two your set is missing, like a larger stock pot or a omelet pan, add here and there, but I don't think an entire new set is necessary.

Gina... Let the tiger come out and register for an EXPENSIVE one and IF they buy it return it for something you want!!

ITA, just add pots you don't have like a wok , a really large frying pan or a griddle.

Ugh I had people do this too! I registered for one set of everyday dishes bc FH and I used gc's and bought two sets on our own. We wanted one more set just as a back up just in case we break or chip a plate or whatever.

Please tell me why one of my guests saw that I only registered for one and that someone already bought it, and proceeded to buy me two more sets and the woman at Macys assured her it was a good idea to buy me two more sets because I probably didnt realize the set was only for four people? I really wouldn't add another one. What if people buy you the pot set and at the end of all of this, something you really wanted was left on your registry and never bought just because they all spent money on these pots...

I say its YOUR registry and you'll cry 'no pots!' if you want to!

y waste the registry gifts on something you dont want. Love your pots until you need new ones and then get them!

No! if you have one you love and use then why get another (that will only take up space) ????

I am sure your registry is filled with other things you want and actually need. Just seems silly IMO.

I guess pots, like china are just a registry staple that people expect to see but if you dont need it, then dont register for it!

if they persist, add it, thank the purchaser then return it!!!!!!

I never quite understood why people have to tell you what they THINK you need, even if you have it?!?!?!?

We had THREE people buy us Corningware. THREE. We don't need that much Corningware, but it was nice to be able to exchange them for three more settings of our formal china.

Seriously, don't listen to those people. If you already have a nice set of pots, don't bother getting another one. My grandparents bought me a beautiful set of pots three years ago when I moved out of my parents' home, and they're still working beautifully. I didn't bother to register for a new set because, let's face it, that's really unnecessary. I'd much rather somebody purchase me something that's, you know, EXPLICITLY on the registry because I need it rather than suggest that I 'need' to put something on there.
