Someone had suggested shortening my registry in the hopes that it would be bought out quicker and people would give me $$$.
Is that a good idea to do that or should I make my registry bigger? I'm afraid that some people will want to give a THING and if there's nothing on the registry, they'll end up giving me something that I don't want or isn't returnable.
What would you do?

Re: registry -- what would you do?
I had about 40 or so people at my shower, and about 30 gifts on my registry...those that didn't give a gift gave a contribution towards my HM Registry or something outside of the registry - TWO people gave cash.
It's not traditional to give cash for a shower, and honestly, I wouldn't expect it.
